Pavilion Pavilion is an exploration of the relationship between contemporary art and objects of use. Founded by artist Jack Brindley in Glasgow, 2019, Pavilion Pavilion combines his research as an artist and his interest in design and architecture though making objects in response to site specific contexts. Based today in Edinburgh with a studio at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, Jack’s practice probes the liminal spaces between sculpture and design, material and process, ornament and function.
In Jack’s own words:
“A Pavilion is often a temporary architecture, an exercise in style and ideology. Optimistic experiments and future facing what if scenarios, and in this case we hope to use the model to ask the question - ‘What does sculpture do to architecture and what does architecture do to sculpture?’”
