Marc is an exciting design talent with a focus on material and process, exploring the boundaries of craft and production to examine our contemporary impressions of value and luxury. Marc’s interest in design was born from his upbringing in a boatyard in the west of Scotland where his father is a boatbuilder by trade. His family run the legendary Sweeney’s Cruise Company on Loch Lomond. Marc first studied Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art before receiving a scholarship on the product design course at the Instituto Marangoni in  London. Following graduation, he assisted Max Lamb in London, before returning to the banks of Loch Lomond in 2023, where he runs his own studio and workshop alongside that of his father.
