On Softness...

It’s a very particular time of year. Everything feels soft. There’s a changing of gears as we roll gently downhill into autumn via crisp, misty mornings and dwindling evening light. We seem to have some of the best weather in September and it lifts the spirits no end. Berries and mushrooms abound. The sea has a mercury quality, still as a millpond and almost warm. We like to harness the harvest energy and make hay while the sun still shines. Hay at Bard means bountiful plans afoot and beautiful new arrivals. Chop chop!
