Platter
Emporium Juliumfrom
£38.00
Description
Julija Pustovrh of Emporium Julium wheel throws these enigmatic discs, combining sand that she collects from the beaches of Harris, Shetland and Orkney, into her stoneware. The resulting platters have a mesmerising, elemental quality. We use them as handy surfaces for all sorts of things, as well as placemats and plates for cheese and canapés.
Harris platters are grey toned, Shetland a deep brown, and Orkney are beige toned. Given they are thrown individually with different composition of sands, they vary from one to another.
The small platter is 16cm in diameter, the large is 27cm.
