Ash Glazed Platter
Ingot Objects£180.00
Description
Thrown textured stoneware platters, glazed with ash from prunings of apple trees, planted by Jonathan’s grandmother in the 1980s. There is a gentle wibble to the wide rimmed form, and a rich variety in the glaze that runs from glassy, grassy pools in places and in others leaves the rusty stoneware exposed. These are platters to cherish with frequent use when serving food for friends and family.
Given the nature of the hand-thrown process, the material and the glaze, the platters vary slightly in shape, colour and finish.
31cm in diameter.
