This ceramic and metal leaf lozenge was made by the RCA graduate ceramic artist for Future Heritage at Decorex in 2019. The boldness of scale and brings to mind something architectural, simultaneously of the past and future. It rests at an angle with a precarious sense of temporariness, perhaps awaiting a more permanent positioning, or the discarded remnant of a bygone folly. It feels playfully monumental; a serious and striking object with an underlying air of irreverence.
