Observing Colour - Glencoul Blanket

Jennifer Kent

£175.00

Description

Poetically and literally derived from Scottish landscapes, our pure new wool blankets started life as photographs by Richard Gaston of quintessential Scottish destinations. Colourist Lauren Day then parsed the photographs into cotton colour wraps, which textile artist Jennifer Kent then translated into three blankets, woven at The Isle Mill, in Perthshire. This particular blanket is based on the evocative valley of Glencoul in the north west Highlands.

Alongside Glencoul, the Observing Colour series at Bard includes Quiraing and St. Kilda too.
