Abra
Morven Mulgrew£310.00
Description
Abra is a dramatic centrepiece of two parts that sit together, centre stage, hogging the limelight. In Morven’s words: “It is hand-carved and hand-built from reclaim stoneware into a patched together donut ring of candlesticks. The two parts rely on each other to make the piece stand together. Abra was made without pressure, whilst absentmindedly staring out of the window of my studio. It is glazed with a pallet of green remnant glazes. A patch-worked piece of pottery - it brought me joy to make it.”
What is your favourite aspect of Scottish winter?
“Winter: not a fan! I need light. I bury my head and get through it. But on a clear bright cold day when it’s not raining, I do feel a deep joy.. So there’s that. But is it worth the darkness….? I don’t know!”
Height 19cm, width 36cm, depth 31cm.
