Sun & the Three-legged Crow, The Moon & the Toad
Wobbly Digital£3,640.00
Description
Wobbly Digital is the studio name of South Korean 3D-printing artist Soorin Shin. A graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven and the Glasgow School of Art, Soorin has since made Glasgow her home. Soorin’s artworks have a compelling beauty by comparison to the usual output from 3D printers. They have humour, warmth and humanity, as if plucked from the imagination of a sentient human/machine hybrid and made real. The Sun & the Three-legged Crow is a mythological creature in Korean legend, that simultaneously lives on and represents the sun.
The Sun and the Three-legged Crow is one half of a pair of works by Soorin, derived from Korean legend; The Moon & the Toad, can also be found at Bard.
87cm high, 38cm wide, 20cm deep.
